A flagship outdoor classroom, up in a single day

Cransley School is a leading independent school in the Cheshire countryside — and home to our flagship independent-school installation. Over the summer, while the school was quiet, our team raised a linked twin Nordic tipi classroom in the grounds. The structure was raised in a single day, and the space was ready for the children coming back — in time for CransleyFest, the school’s start-of-year festival.

No capital project. No lengthy planning application. No structure for the school to maintain alone. Everything from monthly in-person visits to installation, compliance, weather management and seasonal transformations — all handled by us.

Dressed in Cransley’s colours

Step inside and the space is unmistakably Cransley’s. Dark blue and white panels radiate from each crown, fairy lights trace every seam, and the school’s banner hangs beneath the apex. None of it was the school’s job: dressing the space — and re-dressing it through the year — is part of the managed service, not an extra.

Walking in — up the path, past the school’s banner, under the lit crown.

Parent social events and marketplaces run by the pupils, alongside local artisan traders
A host space for visiting schools, community groups and Foundation events
